Q1.

How can we book?

Please book by phone or send an enquiry from the contact page. You can also email info@cocochimassage.com.au directly. Please wait for the confirmation message. Please note that pre-booking is essential. It may be difficult to allocate same-day bookings. We recommend enquiring in advance.

Q2.

What is the booking process?

Firstly, please contact us via our online form, email or phone. Secondly, we will send you a confirmation message or reply to discuss further details if the requested date is unavailable. Your booking is not secured until you receive a reply from us. We require a deposit (50% of your booking cost) to confirm your booking and we will also send you an online consultation form. This is to make sure we can make the most of the time in the treatment session.

Q3.

If I cancel, will I need to pay the cancellation fee?

If you need to cancel, please let us know at least 24 hours before your appointment time to avoid any cancellation fees. For all cancellations within 24 hours, the 50% deposit will be non-refundable.

Q4.

Can you come to my house for treatments?

Yes, we can travel within 5km from Glen Iris to offer our mobile service. However, if any of the below applies, the request will unfortunately have to be declined:

  1. There is no elevator in the apartment
  2. There is no car park nearby
  3. Bad weather/warning for storms or damaging winds
Please wear loose clothing to be ready for your treatment. If you would like to book two sessions in the one house, we can offer treatments one by one. Please clarify each person’s name, treatment name and duration. We are also able to organise a treatment room in the Melbourne CBD. Please enquire in advance.

Q5.

Are there any medical conditions that affect treatments?

Please do not book a treatment if you have any of the below conditions:

  1. Flu or cold / fever
  2. Sunburn
  3. A skin disease that may be irritated by oil or massage
  4. Affected by alchohol/drugs
  5. An open wound
  6. Extreme exhaustion
  7. Are being treated at a medical institution due to a severe illness (*We may require a Doctor’s Certificate.)

Additionally, please let us know if you have sensitive skin, high/low blood pressure, or are pregnant.

Q6.

Can I receive treatment if I’m pregnant?

The Australian Massage & Myotherapy Association does not recommend any treatment for those in their first trimester (under 13 weeks). We will be able to offer an oil massage or Shiatsu once you are in your second trimester. You will be able to claim your treatment with private health insurance (except for Medibank, HFC, and AHM). We will give you a receipt at the end of the session.

Q7.

What time should I arrive for my appointment?

You may wish to avoid meals right before the treatment as you will be facing down. We recommend stopping eating at least 30 minutes before your booking time.

Q8.

What time should I arrive for my appointment?

Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your booking time. If you arrive later than the booking time, we may not have the availability to offer you the full duration of the treatment. Please make sure that you do not need to rush to make your appointment. We do allocate bookings with a gap between sessions, however, if you are more than 15 minutes late, we will need to cut down your session time.

Q9.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes, there is a place where you can park nearby. We will send you the details once your booking has been confirmed.

Q10.

Where is your nearest train station?

The nearest train station is Glen Iris Station. It is a 10-minute walk from the station.
